Saving Private Ryan gets a fan-made Expendables-style trailer
YouTube’s The Unusual Suspect is quickly making a name for himself for cutting together trailers of newer films in the style of beloved classics, and, in the case of his newest creative effort, cutting trailers for older films in the style of newer blockbusters. His fan-edited trailer for Saving Private Ryan makes the Steven Spielberg WWII drama look like a ridiculous one liner-filled ensemble piece ala The Expendables. As wrong as it feels to chuckle at a trailer for a movie we know is anything but hilarious, it’s hard not to re-imagine an almost Ocean’s Eleven-type war film surrounding everyone’s favorite forehead, Matt Damon.
