First JUSTICE LEAGUE full-length trailer assembles the team and pours on the action

justice league movie trailer 2017

Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie gets its first full-length trailer

The first official Justice League trailer has finally arrived, and it’s something. Tonally, things feel askew as the trailer begins, but for the most part the action-heavy preview manages to hype the film successfully. Technically this is the first full-length preview for Justice League, but fans of the DC ensemble and attendees of Comic Con (and soon after the rest of the world) were shown footage way back in July 2016, so it’s about time a proper trailer surfaced to help save the floundering franchise (as most of the new DCU films have subtly promised to do) that’s trying to do battle with Marvel’s behemoth. Again, personally, the trailer’s introduction seemed off, but I have a lot of fun once that Zack Snyder action is on full display. Here’s hoping the movie is an enjoyable ride.

Brand new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 trailer comes in hot and vibrant

guardians of the galaxy vol 2 movie trailer 2

Baby Groot is super cute in new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer

I think it’s safe to say that Baby Groot will officially steal the show come May when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters. That said, every member of the team stands out in their own way, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a familiar face or two officially join the ranks this time around (looking at you Nebula and Yondu). Plus, a handful of new players are on screen for the first time (Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, Kurt Russell’s Ego), and we’re bound to see more of them as the Guardians of the Galaxy cross paths with The Avengers in the near future. Until then, get hyped and crack a smile, because the brand new trailer for Vol. 2 is here and kicks ass.

Watch Star-Lord and crew do their thing in the new trailer and two new posters for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 after the jump.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT trailer teases more robots from Michael Bay

Transformers: The Last Knight trailer paints Optimus Prime as a villain

Still playing a little trailer catch-up, and the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight was on my list. Either you love them or you hate them, but Michael Bay’s Transformers movies have made dump trucks of cash. That means they’ll probably continue to make them until we stop watching them. That said, the trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight does a little time hopping to show us the Autobots and Decepticons (and possibly their creators) have been influencing events on Earth for a long time. From the Middle Ages, through Nazi Germany, and right into Mark Wahlberg’s neighborhood, these robots in disguise are seemingly everywhere. Having just re-watched Age of Extinction, I’m actually looking forward to seeing this whole knight storyline played out. There’s potential for fun, which is always the case with a Transformers movie. It also looks like Bay may continue to bridge his Transformers worlds together with human characters from the Shia LeBeouf movies joining Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager. Again, could be fun.

GOON 2: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS trailer brings back the lovable hockey bruiser

goon 2 last of the enforcers movie trailer

Doug Glatt is back in Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers trailer

The trailer for Goon: Last of the Enforcers was released a while back previewing the sequel to the under-watched hockey hit Goon from 2011. The trailer is short and sweet, but Seann William Scott’s lovable portrayal of real-life bruiser Doug Glatt is back on the ice. There are few more familiar faces in the cast this time around, but for the most part it looks like everyone from the original has returned. Personally, I hope there’s a reason director/star Jay Baruchel decided Goon needed a sequel other than wanting more hockey fights and profanity, but if not I’m sure Goon 2 will be just as enjoyable as the first. That said, the nice-guy-who-kicks-ass schtick may wear a little thin given we’ve seen it before, and I can only take so much Baruchel spouting randomly dirty things, so fingers crossed for a strong story element.

Watch the short trailer, read a plot synopsis, and check out the poster for Goon: Last of the Enforcers after the jump.

THE WALL trailer sees Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena pinned down by sniper fire

The Wall trailer teases a stuck-in-a-bad-spot war drama

The Wall appears to be a one-location thriller/drama set somewhere in the Middle East and starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena. From the trailer, it looks like a very small-but-tense film, with most of the action taking place in a small plot of desert as the pair of soldiers get pinned down by sniper fire. Personally, I think this could be pretty great as a bottle film, but it could also be a drawn out affair that gets bogged down by the setting and predicament. Can we call it a game of cat and mouse? Taylor-Johnson appears to be piecing together a mystery as the film progresses, slowly realizing he and Cena are alone with no help. The sniper pinning them down has them dead-to-rights, even going so far as to start taunting them via radio. Again, The Wall could be a nice little war thriller focusing on character over explosions and armies facing off in large numbers. Here’s hoping it’s worth the watch.
