The Oculus Rift and Omni will change everything
The future of video gaming, virtual tourism, online meet-ups and meetings, and pretty much never having to leave your house for human interaction is literally around the corner! A virtual reality headset called the Oculus Rift married to a simple yet elegant way of getting around in the virtual world called the Omni is going to change everything. The pair are closer to home use than you think, and believe it or not you can secure a set today if you’ve got the dough.

Above is an image of the Oculus Rift in all it’s glory. The headset blew past its Kickstarter goal last year ensuring the idea’s future and putting developer kits in the hands of those who pledged over $275 (from what I understand support was overwhelming and not everyone was able to get their kits). That said, pre-ordering is still possible on the official website for the product HERE.

With over a month and a half left on the Kickstarter campaign, and already 4x the funding they’ve asked for, the Omni team is sure to revolutionize the way we experience virtual reality. Moving forward hand-in-hand with the Oculus Rift seems a no brainer, and the possibility of owning a home-based virtual reality set-up is extremely real.
At essentially the price (if not cheaper) than the PS4 and upcoming Xbox One, and having the eyes of big game developers secured on their progress, the Omni and Oculus Rift couldn’t be in a better place. Here’s hoping early backer funding and developer excitement helps streamline this amazing advancement!
