The best end-of-world party ever in This Is The End?

Apocalyptic party at James Franco’s place in This Is The End

The first full-length red band trailer for This Is The End has hit! During a big celebrity party at James Franco‘s house a group of friends/comedians find themselves facing the apocalypse. Looks like a fun setup for getting some of the quickest and brightest funny people together to unleash the jokes and let out their weirdness.

Want to see what an end-of-the-world bash with Hollywood’s funniest faces might be like? Check out the new trailer for the film and read a synopsis of the wackiness we’ll find in This Is The End after the jump.

BEWARE: the trailer gives away waaaay to much…

From this latest trailer This Is The End looks to give away what’s causing the apocalypse (aliens?) as well as some death scenes, which is the unfortunate flaw most trailers have these days. That said, the film looks like a lot of fun, and coming from directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (the minds behind Superbad and Pineapple Express) we should be in for some comedy gold and some great cameo appearances.

Here’s an official synopsis:

The comedy This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside.  Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.

Can you imagine holing up in James Franco’s house during the end of the world? I’m sure those mushrooms will get eaten at some point, the bud will get smoked, the beers will be downed, and Emma Watson will probably steal everything else. Good times!

This Is The End has a ridiculous cast ranging from Seth Rogen, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, and Jonah Hill to some key players in Hollywood’s comedy circle. Expect appearances from (and then possible demises of) Paul Rudd, Jason Segal, Michael Cera, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Martin Starr, Emma Watson, and Rihanna for some reason.

The film opens in theaters June 14th.
